STARS OF A LATE AUGUST NIGHT

        STARS OF A LATE AUGUST NIGHT

Mozart in a five- and- ten –cent
mood, maybe it’s only Beethoven;
no way, it is indeed Amadeus.

But the real star of the evening
is Mars, so near one can reach out
and touch the cruciform of ruby,
elongated spider, lambent, brilliant,
scintilant, fulgent, effulgent, refulgent,
and  the whole Roget run in hopes
that one will spark a radiant image on
the cinematic screen inside your head.
