MORNING STORM

   MORNING STORM

The gray gulf breaks white
in repeated pyrotechnic.  In
wind and rain the wild sea oats
lean right like golden virgules.

They do not complain.  Only
man labors to understand what
all of nature knows: the peace
that waits the other side of storm.
