NEVER

                           NEVER

It’s never too little,

               never too late.

      Even at the last minute

          the door may be

             just enough ajar

                for you to slip into

                   that epistemic stream

                     of Caribbean  green 

                 our ancestors

                        of eons

                   have been building. 

                Never too late

                     to be lifted

                          light and laughing

                                  home

                        to the ecstasy

                 that wants you.
