ESTOCADO

                      ESTOCADO

The gray of yesterday is gone
and nature celebrates new sun.

Solarium, facing south,
receives the healing light,
and on the sea,  birds of prey
are not deprived of lunch
as pelicans high dive in estocado,
distensible gullets grateful
that  little fishes refuse to listen
 when mama shouts:
“Don’t go near the surface.”

But then, it is a lovely day to die.
