NATURE AND HUMAN NATURE
How lovely is the rain
after all these days of dryness.
Nature knows how to blend her elements:
sunset and tsunami, gentle breeze and hurricane,
diapason of Beaufort and Stafford-Simpson.
Human nature struggles to achieve
the same kind of balance:
war and peace, greed and generosity,
aggression and nonresistance.
Love is an onus for a youthful humanity
that still is out of kilter.
