SUN AND SHADOWS
Dune fence shadows
geometric in zebra stripes,
silver sea a shimmer
of rippled glass,
sea gulls come close
in avian entitlement.
Give me a sun
at dusk or dawn,
rimming the horizon
in reds and roses,
infinite palette
driving painters mad
with envy and emulation.
