DEATH AND RESURRECTION
Of a sudden
what was gray is green now
as almost-April trees
intone
their song of resurrection.
Sister soup and brother bacon
give their lives each day
that ours
might last a little longer.
Hunters adorn their walls
with heads of moose and deer
in a barbaric anthem of antlers.
En una noche oscura
we too long for light.
