A MORNING SONG
It’s
day again:
the sea wears a
new blue,
the sky transcolored too.
A red ribbon
divides them
like a gift
waiting to be unwrapped.
The surf plucks
the shore
in melody
monotonic,
and Papa Sun
beckons,
“Arise, arise, my
child,
and walk into a
world
designed for your
delight.
