MORNING THOUGHTS

       MORNING THOUGHTS

          Listening to Sibelius,
          not seeking ecstasy,
          just a balance of being,
          gift on temporary loan,

         thinking about
         the three great
         monotheistic religions:

         Judaism, the oldest,
         but with by far
         the fewest members today.

         Christianity , with over
         two billion believers,
         but divided into
         multiple denominations.
.
         Islam, almost as many
         Muslims as Christians,
         pious, peace-loving people,
         but a healthy percentage
         of followers who think it
         a holy act
         to kill anyone
         who does not accept
         Allah as God.

        The world is watching,
        as well as Belial.

RESURRECTION

RESURRECTION

Leave the land of dreams,
travel the hypnopompic road
to full consciousness,
and  awake in a world
of never-beforeness—
no yesterday baggage,
no tomorrow worries,
nothing but now,

your now,
so do a dance,
sing a song,
salute the sun,.
await the moon,
wander through
fields of freshness,

and breathe
in rhythm
with the universe,
ever grateful
for the beauty
of creation.
