BODY AND SOUL
Body begins to fade
but mind comes alive
like late blooming lilacs.
Thoughts long buried
blossom in forever fields
of freshness
.
Bones disintegrate,
ideas survive
somewhere in the universe,
anxious for their chance to return.
The pieces come and go,
but spirit is eternal.
As Bruno said:
the death of the part
is the rejuvenating life
of the whole.
