LAUGHTER
God gave us these magnificent minds and this gloriously beautiful planet and said, “Enjoy it, don’t destroy it,” and sits back now laughing at the comedy we have created.
Laughter is of the essence of good living, but nothing seems funny anymore. What a joke!
Are you laughing at last, finally and at last?
Meister Eckhart said, “The Father laughs giving birth to the Son, who laughs back, giving birth to the Spirit; then all three laugh giving birth to us.”
The money merchants and masters of control have a corner on the God Market, counting the collection on Monday morning, the offerings of sinners buying their way out of Hell, shortening their stay in Purgatory.
The catechism begins with the question:” Who made me?” Answer: “God made me. Why did God make me? To know Him, love Him and serve Him in this life and be happy with Him forever in the next.”
Hard to know someone who can’t be seen, impossible to love someone who can’t be known, and how serve the Infinite Being who has everything and needs no service? In this case the Him should be Them, the ones who minister the business.
Lord Byron said, “As for your immortality, why die if we are to live?” And Einstein
added, “As for the next life, one is enough for me.”
Are you laughing now? If so, you are living the life of. God
